The Houston Astro Shortstop Jeremy Pena has a fragmented rib and will be placed in the 10-day injured list.
The team revealed the boundary of injury on Monday, saying it was a small fracture in Penna’s left rib cage. The IL move will be rebel to Saturday.
PEUNA was killed in ribs by a pitch from Chicago cub Right-Hand Horton in the second innings of Astro’s 7–4 victory on Friday.
He did not leave the game till the fifth, and the team said that the X-ray took that night did not reveal the fracture. According to the team, on Sunday, an MRI and CT scan revealed the fracture.
27 -year -old Pena is doing a breakout season, which ranks fourth in the major league with a .322 batting average. He hit .361 in June.
According to PEUNA Astro, the six-market will be with the team on the six-market trip starting on Tuesday in Colorado. The team said that a compatible roster step would be done on Tuesday.
