According to a statement by Sand Springs public schools, McGain was a teacher in a small Oklahoma school district by May and then resigned to work in another state. He said that McGain had investigated all the backgrounds.
McGain had not yet started his new job in Arkansas in Springdale Public Schools, District Superintendent Jered Cleveland confirmed Fox News. Cleveland stated that McGain “not at any time” is in touch with students or their families. He refused to provide more information citing the investigation.
He said, “Our entire team expresses our deep condolences to the family.” “Their children are especially in our thoughts and prayers.”

The mother of an alumni gave an email to Fox News from the teacher’s previous school district. He said that in 2023, he lodged a complaint with the superintendent when his son saw McGain behaving unfairly towards young women students.
In response, the parents received a letter from the district stating that McGain was placed on administrative leave, while the authorities had investigated complaints of poor class management and professional decisions.
While the investigation did not find evidence of inappropriate behavior towards a student, it concluded that McGain’s class management and decision fell below the district expectations. Shortly thereafter, McGain resigned.
Email said, “On Wednesday afternoon, Mr. McGain told our Human Resource Department about his decision to resign from his post, immediately effective.” “We will have a substantial teacher in his class for the rest of the school year.”
