Apple is preparing to unveil the Apple Watch Ultra 3 at its 9 September “Awe Dropping” event, with the iPhone 17 lineup and Apple Watch Series 11. Ultra series, introduced as a rugged smartwatch option, is now set for its next upgrade after leaving a major redesign last year. What to expect here from this year’s launch.
Apple Watch Ultra 3: Design and Display
Apple The overall design of Watch Ultra 3 is unlikely to change, but is expected to change performance. The iOS 26 beta suggested an increase of 422 x 514 pixels compared to 410 x 502 on Watch Ultra 2. Since the rumors of case size remain unchanged, it can result in the thinner bezels, which will make it the largest display on Apple Watch so far.

Watch Ultra 3 can adopt the LTPO3 OLED display used in last year’s series 10. This technique supports the level of high brightness at the angles and always allows to operate with minimal brightness in 1 NIT. That improvement made it possible to update the wrist even when the wrist is reduced, and the same functionality on Ultra 3 is expected.
Processor and performance
Ultra 3 will have the possibility of new S11 chip. While it is expected to match the performance of S9 and S10, the low chip size can make space for a large battery or additional hardware inside the clock.

Apple Watch Ultra 3: New Connectivity Features
Apple can introduce a satellite connectivity feature for the first time in its watch lineup. This will enable emergency SOS in areas without cellular or Wi-Fi service. This feature can increase to text messaging, like a satellite service of iPhone, which can appeal to external users in remote places.
Ultra 3 can also mark the shift from LTE to 5G with a 5G redcap chip of MediaTek. This version of 5G, sewn to wear, promises better efficiency and improvement at the current LTE speed.

Apple Watch Ultra 3: Health Tracking
Blood pressure monitoring is subject to development and can debut in the upcoming Apple Watch model. If Ultra 3 is included, this feature will not provide detailed systolic and diastolic readings, but will track overall blood pressure trends. Watch users may consume potential hypertension risks, allowing them to consult health professionals early.
Apple Watch Ultra 3: Charging Upgrade
Apple May can adopt a redesign charging system of Series 10, which uses a large coil and integrated antenna. This adjustment significantly improved the charging speed in series 10, which reached 80 percent in about 30 minutes, and could give the same results for Ultra 3.
