Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday met Chinese President Xi Jinping on the occasion of the 25th meeting of the major state of the Shanghai Cooperation Council (SCO). Both PM Modi and Xi Jinping highlighted the importance of good India-China relations on Sunday, which in the last few years became sour due to the line of real control (LAC) due to the stress mainly with the border.

In a meeting with Xi Jinping, PM Modi said that India is committed to pursue its relations with China on the basis of mutual trust, respect and sensitivity. PM Modi also said that there is peace and stability along the boundary after last year’s dissolution process.
