The company said on Wednesday that Amazon is expanding the grocery delivery service on its same day, which is in 1,000 cities and towns across the US.
It is also offering thousands of dissected grocery items for its offerings, and will expand services up to 2,300 new locations by the end of 2025. This step located Amazon as a strong contestant for Instacart and Walmart+, both offer the same day’s grocery delivery services.
The new delivery offerings include the options of yield, dairy, meat, seafood, ripe goods and frozen foods. Additionally, customers may have homes, electronics, apparel and more, the same day is distributed that the orders are placed.
This service is available for free for Amazon Prime members, for those orders which are $ 25. Nonmepkers are also eligible for a single day delivery, but for a $ 12.99 fee.
According to the company, over 150 million Americans rely on Amazon, where they have spent $ 100 billion on grocery goods and household goods alone in 2024 – which does not include sales from Hole Foods Market and Amazon Fresh.

Amazon said that this service has proved so popular in the current cities that Strawberries have knocked the airpods out of the top five best selling products in areas where it is already available.
Rale, Northern Carolina; Milwauki; Tampa, Florida and Columbus, Ohio; Among the new cities, Amazon is bringing delivery of the same day.
The company said that the same day’s grocery delivery service is different from Amazon’s existing grocery delivery Prasad which includes Amazon Fresh and Hole Foods Market and Local Purvirs.
The company said that it is capable of giving poor and temperature-sensitive goods using untouched bags to ensure groceries at required temperatures during the delivery process.
