The five -time Pro bowler demanded immediate redemption after landing on the edge of the infield grass and bounced the left -handed batsman’s box.
Kamara, a fan of a lifetime cub, met a wave of boose from the crowd in Wrigley during the pre-game festival. The 29 -year -old NFL experienced NASCAR’s Grant Park on Sunday in Chicago for the 165 Street Race.
Cardinals topped the cub to 8-6, with four-market slides. Johel Poseo hit the three-run homer for the three-run rally of Cap St. Louis for a three-run rally. Nolan Gordin also went deep for cardinals, who rebound the second straight day after Michael Bush and Carson Kelly, helping Chicago to take a two -run lead after seven.
Cardinals’ second reliever Steven Mattz (5-2) received five outs to win. Ryan Halesley reached ninth from 1-2-3 for her 17th Save. St. Louis Starter Matthew Libertor gave two runs on four hits in five innings.
