Liverpool has agreed to the £ 125M fee with Newcastle to sign Alexander.
Sources close to the deal have told BBC Sport that an agreement is now in place for Sweden International to join the Enfield Club.
The club will have to undergo a medical on Monday before signing a six -year deal.
Liverpool had a original £ 110 m proposes at the beginning of this month, but now they are ready to unload their first choice targets of summer.
