After 21 months of the war, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expecting a new Gaza ceasefire to meet US President Donald Trump in Washington.
Trump had earlier told reporters that he was “very firm” with Netanyahu about ending the struggle and thought that this week “we would make a deal”.
Before riding in his aircraft, veteran Israeli PM said, “We are working to achieve the deal that has been discussed.” I believe that the conversation with President Trump can definitely help to pursue this result, which we all expect. “
The indirect talks between Israel and Hamas on Sunday evening on a 60-day ceasefire and an American sponsored resolution for the hostage release deal at Qatar.
However, it is not clear whether the significant differences that have constantly conducted an agreement can be overcome.
Amidst daily Israeli bombing, only cautious optimism is being expressed by tired Palestinians living in strict conditions, and Hamas still has distressed families of Israeli hostages.
“I do not wish a truss, but a complete break for all war. Clearly, I am afraid that the war will begin again after 60 days,” Nail Abu Daya says, who ran away from North Gaza’s Beat Lahia to Gaza City with his children and grandchildren.
“We are very tired of displacement, we are tired of thirst and hunger, staying in tents. When it comes to the needs of life, we have zero.”
On Saturday evening, there were big rallies, in which the Israeli government was urged to make a deal to return some 50 hostages from Gaza, of which 20 are considered alive.
Some relatives questioned why the framework deal would not immediately free all the prisoners.
“How does someone survive in such circumstances? I am waiting for Iwatarar to return and tell me myself,” said Ilai David, whose younger brother, a musician, was filmed by Hamas in pain, because he saw fellow hostages during the last, two months long war lasting, early this year.
“It’s time to save lives. It’s time to save the bodies from the danger of disappearance,” Il told a mob in Jerusalem.
“In the rapidly changing reality of the Middle East, it is a moment to sign a comprehensive agreement that will lead the release of all hostages, each, without exception.”
Netanyahu is visiting the White House for the third time as Trump returned to power about six months ago.
But the leaders will hold a meeting for the first time as the US joined the Israeli attacks at the Iranian nuclear sites and then there was a ceasefire between Israel and Iran.
There is a strong understanding that recently the 12-day war has created more favorable conditions to end the Gaza war.
After months of ratings of low popularity, the Israeli PM has been influenced by widespread public support for Iran’s aggressive and analysts suggest that they now have more benefits to agree to the strong objections of their far-flung coalition partners to agree to a peace deal on the strong objections of their far-flung coalition partners, who want Israel to remain under the control of Gaza.
Hamas has been further weakened by a strike on Iran – a major regional patron – meaning that it can be more responsible for giving necessary concessions to reach an agreement.
Meanwhile, Trump is eager to proceed to other priorities in the Middle East.
These include border talks between Israel and Syria, returning to efforts to normalize the relationship between Israel and Saudi Arabia, and complete the incomplete business with Iran, including a possible interaction on a new nuclear deal.
For months, the conversation of ceasefire between Israel and Hamas has exceeded a fundamental margin.
Israel is ready to a temporary Trus to return the hostages, but does not end the war. Hamas has demanded enmity in Gaza and a permanent termination of full pullout of Israeli soldiers.
The latest proposal for Hamas asked to guarantee the commitment to Washington’s deal and to continue negotiations to reach a permanent ceasefire and release of all hostages.
Nothing has been officially declared, but according to media reports, Hamas will get more than 28 bounds in the framework – 10 living and 18 hands – this was staged in the final ceasefire without disturbed handover ceremonies in five phases in 60 days.
There will be a major increase in humanitarian aid entering Gaza.
After the return of eight living hostages on the first day of the agreement, the Israeli forces will withdraw from some parts of the north. After a week, the army will release parts of the south.
10 days, the outline of Hamas will be prepared that survives the hostage and their position, while the Israeli will give details of more than 2,000 ghazans arrested during the War that remains in “administrative prevention” – a practice that allows Israeli authorities to catch them without accusations or tests.
As seen earlier, a large number of Palestinians will be released from Israeli jails instead of hostages.
President Trump described it as a “final” Trus proposal and said last week that Israel accepted the “essential conditions” to finalize it.
On Friday, Hamas said that it responded to “positive spirit”, but expressed some reservation.
A Palestinian official said that the sticking points were more with human help – the controversial Israeli and American -backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) demanded an immediate end to operation and the return of the United Nations and its partners should be maintained.
Hamas is also asked to question the timetable of the Israeli contingent and the timetable for the operation of a rafa crossing between Southern Gaza and Egypt.
Netanyahu’s office said on Saturday that the desired changes by Hamas were “not acceptable” to Israel.
The Prime Minister has repeatedly stated that Hamas should be dismissed, a demand has been refused to discuss the Islamic group so far.
In Israel, there is increasing opposition to war in Gaza, more than 20 soldiers were killed in the last month, according to the army.
The Israeli Army Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Ile Zameer said last week that it was close to fulfilling the goals of its war and indicated that the government would have to decide whether to move forward with a deal to bring the hostage of the house or to prepare the Israeli forces to re -establish military rule in Gaza.
Elections indicate that two-thirds of Israeli supports a ceasefire deal to bring hostage homes.
In Gaza, some residents have expressed apprehension that the current wave of positivity is being created to reduce tension during Netanyahu’s American visit – arguing that it happened in May because Trump prepared to visit the Arab Gulf states.
The coming days will be politically and humanly important.
Gaza’s condition has been deteriorating, in which the medical staff reports intense malnutrition in children.
The United Nations says that due to no fuel to enter in four months, stockpiles are now almost gone, threatening significant medical care, water supply and telecommunications.
Israel launched his war in Gaza in vengeance for Hamas -led attacks on 7 October 2023, killing about 1,200 people and 251 others hostage.
According to the Hamas-Interested Health Ministry, Israeli attacks since killing more than 57,000 people in Gaza. Ministry figures are quoted as the most reliable source of data available on casualties by the United Nations and others.
