Chelsea has agreed to the £ 40M fee to sign Manchester United Forward Alejandro Garnacho.
21 -year -old Argentina International was asked to find a new club by head coach Ruben Amorim at the end of last season.
United Sources say the initial Chelsea offer was £ 25m, but the transfer of Garnacho – which includes 10% cell -on clause – now Cristiano Ronaldo, Romalu Lukaku and Angel Di Maria will have the fourth largest sales of the club after the club.
Chelsea would have spent more than £ 500M including Ad-on Claus on Wings in just three years since Chelsey purchased the club.
This will be more than £ 650m with strikers – again with add -on – but the significant player has been sold, with Chelsea, the books are likely to completely balance this summer.
Garnacho’s move comes as a 27 -year -old Christopher Nakunku, which is closed at a step from Chelsea to AC matching.
Senegal striker Nicholas Jackson is also interacting on an initial debt switch to Bayern Munich, which may include a liability for buying a 24 -year -old.
The player’s sales are important for Chelsea in this summer due to UEFA sanctions, including a fine of 31 meter euros (£ 26.7m), but also needed to maintain “positive transfer balance” in this window to register a new signature for the Champions League.
Adjacent transfer of Nkunku for the initial £ 32M means that Blues have a premiere league record for the sale of a player in the summer window – at least £ 263.2m – minus ad -on and future fees.
Prior to the confirmation of the French’s departure, he had already crossed his previous highest clan of £ 215.9m in 2023.
Garnacho interacted with Chelsea in January, when her priority became a step for Stamford Bridge and United initially wanted £ 60M for her.
As a homegron player, at the age of 16 in 2020, Attetico joined the youth system of Madrid to United, this fee would also be important to meet the profit and stability rules (PSR) of the Premier League.
The Old Trafford Club has already spent £ 200 meters on a new forward line of Benjamin Sesco, Maths Kunha and Brian Mabumo.
Garnacho’s last competitive game for United was the Europe League final of May – after which he questioned Amorim’s decision to start him in a 1–0 defeat by Tottenham.
Although he visited the club’s post -Asia season tour, he was not selected for a three -match summer journey in the United States.
Garnacho was ordered to train the Amorim’s squad at a different time, as well as with fellow Tierel Malasia, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Marcus Rashford, who later joined the loan in Barcelona.
Asked about the player’s future in Chicago, Boss Amorim said “Sometimes things never work”.
