New Delhi: Congress general secretary KC Venugopal said on Wednesday that Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav will participate in ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Sitamari, Bihar on August 28.
He said that participation in traveling journey under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi and other Mahagatdan leaders will further strengthen the “mass movement against vote theft”.
“Former Chief Minister of former state and President of Samajwadi Party Shri Akhilesh Yadav will join the voter Adhikar Yatra in Sitamari, Bihar on August 28,” Venugopal said in a post on X.
“Due to Akhilesh ji’s involvement in this visit, the leader of the opposition Rahul Gandhi, former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashvi Yadav and senior leaders of India Block will further strengthen our mass movement against vote theft!” He said.
The journey was a break day on Wednesday and it will again start from Nalanda on Thursday.
The yatra, which started from Sasram on Sunday and reached Nalanda on Tuesday, in a hybrid mode, by walking and vehicle, as Mumbai was ahead of the Lok Sabha elections for the Jodo Nai Yatra in Gandhi’s Manipur.
It will also pass through Lakhisarai, Munger, Bhagalpur, Kathar, Purnia, Aria, Supaul, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Sitamari, Eastern Champaran, West Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Chapra and Arr.
