New Delhi: Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau of Investigation (AAIB) revealed a five -member panel involved in the investigation into the Ahmedabad plane crash, killing 260 people.The panel presented its 15-page preliminary report on Saturday, which revealed that the fuel control switch was infected from ‘Run’ to ‘Cutoff’ and a May call was released two minutes after the take-off.Aaib said all on-site work on the Air India crash site, including drone mapping, has been completed, and the debris went into a safe feature for further analysis. A team of domain experts – experienced pilots, engineers, flight recorder analysts, aviation doctors and psychologists have been brought to aid in the ongoing investigation.Who are membersSanjay Kumar SinghAt AAIB, 56 -year -old director Singh has experts more than 15 years in aviation safety and accident investigation. He has investigated 15 major accidents or serious incidents and monitored the classification of more than 300 reported aviation events.While Singh has been appointed as investigator-in-charge, as the Deputy Director of the Bureau, Larga, as the chief investigator, is an experienced explorer at AAIB with more than a decade. He has been part of several major aviation checks including 2020 Kozhikode Air India Express Crash. His extensive experience also includes previous roles in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Pawan Hans and Hindustan Aaronautics Limited (HAL).He is currently serving as Assistant Director of Air Safety in DGCA, and has more than 15 years of experience with aviation regulator. According to his LinkedIn Profile, he first played the role of an air safety officer before his current position.Viraragavan, DGCA, is also an assistant director of air security for nearly four years, he served as an air security officer in Delhi for the first nine years. According to his LinkedIn Profile, he also worked briefly as an analysis engineer at TCS in Chennai.Vaishnav VijayakumarHe is currently serving as an aerial security officer in DGCA, involved in several plane crash and investigation into the incident.
