Three people have been imprisoned for life after a weak man was taken to a flat, where he was repeatedly stabbed and slipped.
The 30 -year -old Joseph McGREDi was heard begging on 29 September 2023 before leaving a communal close in Brad Square, Maryhill.
He later died in the hospital due to injuries.
Amanda Welsh, 49, Connor Thomas, 29, and 32 -year -old Laura McHug were convicted of murder in the High Court in Glasgow last month.
Police Scotland described the work of the killers as “cowards and calls”.
While sentencing, Lord Mathews said that “untimely and unnecessary disadvantages” of Mr. McGREDI caused “inconsistent” grief for people close to him.
The judge said that shortly before the attack, an comment among women in a phone call indicated that they had “trap” for the victim.
The court heard that Mr. McGRGDi was accused of stealing from McHug.
Lord Mathews said: “The attack took place within a few minutes.
“Mr. McGRGDi had the presence of the brain to call 999, while he was being attacked.
“He was struggling for his life.
“Later, he was dragged into landing and left to die.
“None of you thought of contacting emergency services – even anonymous – to alert them to Mr. McGRED.”
Lord Mathews told Thomas that he should serve a minimum of 18 years before being considered for parole.
Welsh was sentenced to 17-and-a-half years and McHug was sentenced to 17 years.
The court heard that Mr. McGRG had terminated his killers before going to McHug’s flat.
Once inside, the theft was accused and set before dumping in communal close.
Mr. McGREDi called for help as he was being killed, but his killers were bleeding with escape.
Welsh and McHug later spent the night in a hotel.
Mr. McGRGDi was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, but died of injuries on 2 October three days after the attack.
MCHUGH later told the detectives that there was “a free for all” in his flat, but denied being responsible.
He claimed that Welsh initially hit Mr. McGRED to “five or six times” Thomas.
McHug told the officials: “I shouted at Connor and stopped. It was only a few seconds and it was over.”
He recalled “a lot of blood” and admitted that the victim had suffered several injuries.
McHug claimed that she had become “frightened”, but accepted Mr. McGRGDi to lift from the flat and help him “put him in landing”.
The victim said “please stop, please stop.”
Police: Murder left family ‘destroyed’
In his proofs, Welsh accepted Mr. McGREDi, but further denied any attack.
He claimed that the man had made a comment about his lover.
After demolishing the blade, Welsh insisted that he had again seen Machugh with a knife.
After the verdict last month, prosecutor Kath Harper KC revealed that the three had set criminal records.
It was guilty of aggressive weapons in both Welsh and Thomas.
Lawyers of the killers said that each had their own personal issues at the time of crime.
DET Inspector Sandy McCinen said: “Joseph McGRED’s family and friends have been destroyed and our thoughts remain with him in this difficult time.
“I hope this sentence will turn off at least one degree for them.
“Welsh, Thomas and McHug now face the results of their cowardice and callus functions.”
