Columbus, Ohio – After the death of his father, Dan Pelger at the age of 92, John and Msi Pelzer made some extraordinary discovery in their things – a very long list of every book he had ever read.
A social worker of Dan, Columbus, Ohio was in Shanti Vahini on starting the list in 1962. And in the next six decades, his whale -shaped hunger for books took him on a trip through the choice of James Michener, Jack Carraok and Homer.
He learned about everything, from saints to sinners and prayed to pray. Overall, from 1962 to 2023, he read 3,599 books with a shocking. The list of all titles is a book in itself: 109 pages long, single-place.
“When I saw through the list, it sounds like a subtle world of his life,” John told CBS News.
“He wanted to learn about the world and learn about other people,” said Marxi.
Dan borrowed almost all his books from the Columbus Metropolitan Library. When the library employees heard about the list of Dan, they decided To share it On social media. The library passed through every title in its collection and made it available in its list.
“So the next time you need inspiration, perhaps you can find it from Dan,” the library said in a video posted on social media.
Lauren Hagan, CEO of the Columbus Metropolitan Library, told CBS News that the public’s response to the list has been “simply incredible”, saying that people are coming to “exactly” to check the books that read Dan.
“People are deliberately going to the display,” said Hagan. “The traffic of social media posts is in millions.”
Dan was not an academic. He was a humble father who is now becoming one of the most popular glandofiles in the country.
John said, “I think it is ending the conversation about my father, because he was just a fun, careful, intelligent, bizarre, unique boy.”
