Belgian champion Tim Valence claimed his first tour de France stage win with a break -off win over stage 15.
The UAE team Emirates-AXRG Rider has done a lot of work for the race leader Tedez Pogkar in the first two weeks of the tour, but free from its domestic duties for the day, attacked the final climb of 169.3 km to the mountain from Mute to Carcasen.
The 34 -year -old finally won from one minute 28 seconds, fellow Belgium Victor Campaignarts second and Julian Alfilip in third place.
Valence’s team partner Tedes Pogkar crossed the peloton after six minutes, which was a four -minute 13 second lead over Jonas Winggard in the general classification standing.
