Nigel Faraj has accused some council officials of obstructing the work of UK councilors, as they defended the way the party is running local authorities.
The reforms gained 10 councils control in the May local elections in England.
But the party leader said with the BBC on Sunday with the Laura Kunsberg program that the corrections in some areas were being “hamstrous” by the existing bureaucrats.
Improvement has promised to cut wasted expenses and improve the efficiency of the councils, but some of its expenses have faced criticism by the decisions, while opponents say very little concrete action has been taken to reduce the cost.
In Warvikshire, opposition parties have criticized the Reforms to plan to hire the UK. Political assistants at a cost of up to £ 190,000 in a yearSaying that money should be spent on front-line services instead.
The council’s interim leader, George Finch, said the step was necessary as the council employees have been unable to come up with “imaginative ideas” to resolve the major issues.
The 19 -year -old was kept in charge of the council after resigning by the previous council leader of the reform, citing health reasons.
It was challenged whether it was a good use of taxpayers’ money, Faraj told the BBC: “At the moment, we are finding that we are very, very hamstrants.
“We are going to the current administration, we are facing obstructionism in many places.
“And Warvikshire is a very good example.”
He said: “It is better for those employees who support the will of democratically chosen councilors, as it is to oppose public sector employees.”
The Warwickshire County Council has been approached for comment.
Faraj said that improvement in some areas was “working quite well with the current administration” but others had “real, intentional interruptionism”.
He said that some officers “do not want to show us books” and where money is being spent.
The Reform Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) of Reform UK – was launched in June – based on the cost -cutting initiative established by US President Donald Trump and under the leadership of the first billionaire Elon Musk.
The unit is made up of about 15 unrelated volunteers and is run by Zia Yusuf, who left the post as the president of the party in June, Before returning to improve after the days of Dogi,
The reform says the Kent County Council will be audited, but in other areas, such as Staffordshire, the Council says it is still waiting to start the work of the unit.
Defending the pace of progress, Faraj said: “Keep in mind, we are not a labor party. We have not got hundreds of employees.
“We are a party that is actually active for just a year. We are growing in size.
“Yes, we have a dog team that has not been everywhere yet. But you have already seen, we have been highlighted examples of extraordinary expenses.”
Furges were also challenged to spend decisions in Scarborough, where the Town Council has approved an increase of 600% in the correction mayor’s allowance, from £ 500 to £ 3,500 per year.
The Mayor has defended the move, saying that the allowance helps cover its expenses and allows him to fulfill his duties efficiently.
Faraj said that he has “no idea” about the position of the correction-operated council, saying: “Is he doing this or he is doing it as a full-time work? I don’t know.”
He said, “What we could have done can simply get a multi-millionaire to stand as candidates everywhere and in fact our Dogi team is working.”
“If people have received resources and do it for free, it’s great. I don’t know the status of Scarborough Council.”
