The players met with the league officials on Thursday, and the side did not reach a deal. Chicago Sky Star Angel Reese was one of the several WNBA players who have criticized the league talks.
“It was an eye opening for me. Like, listening to things and not listening to things and not the things that I was happy to hear. It was an insult to the things that were sent to us, proposals that were sent to us,” he said.

“It was a very creative dialogue. I think, you know, of course, a part of the process is to go ahead and listen to the players. They listen to us and the owners who represent the Board of Governors,” Angelbert said. “I still feel really optimistic that we can get some transformatives until the end. But this is a process.”
