A retired wallpaper designer has converted the 19th -century train train into a luxury AirBNB stay at a former railway station.
68 -year -old Nigel Brook lives in an old train station in England, where he has restored a great Western railway train since 1895.
Although trains stopped passing through the region in the 1950s, guests today can book a night in a vintage train for Brooke’s $ 35,000 restoration project.

“It’s beautiful, and it’s quite unique here,” Brooke said, as the news agency SWNS said.
The outer has been re -painted using the original colors obtained from historical railway paintings, while the interior includes period wallpapers, a bed and a stove.

Brooke said, “I designed all the internal decorations, but it was led by the original pieces that I got during the restoration.”
The train originally moved to a metropolitan railway line before decreasing in 1940.

“It was just chocolate brown everywhere,” he told SWNS. “It became a worker’s car, somewhere stable.”
“It is beautiful, and it is quite unique here.”
Brooke bought a car for about $ 10,000. He said that he was rushed to his present place by road, he said.
It now stands on the concrete walls built to align it with the station platform, providing step-free access to guests.

“One side was covered in tin – which would have been placed there in the 50s or 40s to save from one side,” he said.

Despite the age of the structure, most of the original oak frame was in good condition.
Brooke told SWNS, “What I had to do was carefully unloading each piece that was rotten and repeated and rebuilt it, using the original bits,” Brooke told SWNS.

He said, “This is quite early, 1895, for a car – it is happening at that age if they have not been restored,” he said.
“It will be good for a long time.”

“I was very lucky to acquire such a good old historical building,” he said.
AirbNB offering has proved popular with guests who are ready for its attraction and railway heritage, SWNS said.

Brook is now planning to expand its offer by converting the old waiting room of the station with an enclosed bathroom in an additional guest place.

He said, “I can change a waiting room with an attachment to an AirBNB, so when people live in this car, if they have found friends, they can stay in the waiting room in the station house,” he said.

SWNS reported that the restored vehicle is already drawing interest from passengers eager to experience a piece of the past in the vintage luxury.
