A man has died and two more seriously injured after a car crashed in a house.
The Hertfordshire Police was called to Cromwell Way, Roston, at around 01:00 BST, after the report a vehicle came out of A505 and hit a residential property.
Police said that people inside the house were not injured.
The emergency service remained at the scene while the vehicle was recovered and a structural engineer assessed the damage to the house.
Police said there were three men in the car and all were seriously injured, before one was declared dead.
The 58 -year -old Suu Bru lives in a isolated house at the next door and woke up with the sound of “We loud bang”.
He opened his window to see the flames and then quickly got out, where the “front side” of the car told him that he had two other people in the vehicle.
“We could not believe what we were seeing,” the neighbor said.
Another neighbor, 31 -year -old George Micleberg, where the accident took place, lived three doors from there and woke up with a “big bang”.
“It was like a sound, where as soon as I heard it, I knew something serious.”
He ran out to see if he could help where he saw three people “not well”.
“I looked at the car on my side, someone outside the car, someone was getting out of the car – there were many people on the road to help.”
