Video footage has been released by the police service of Northern Ireland (PSNI), showing me in the car of Winston Irwin, worker Winston Irwin.

A PSNI transcript of the original video indicates that officials knew that they were looking for weapons when pulling at Irvin in Belfast in 2022.
PSNI said The sound on the video was removed to prevent the identity of any police officer.
According to the PSNI transcript of Irwin’s arrest in West Belfast, an official told Irwin that he was about to find his vehicle for “mutual and wireless equipment”, a sign that was being stopped under the terms of the Justice and Security Act.
“Do you have anything here that should not be?” The officer asked.
According to the Transcript, Irwin replied: “In the boot, yes … there is a bag … I don’t know what is in it.”
The official said: “Okay, where did you find it?”
Irwin replied that he did not want to say.
Irwin and Workman, Who was Jail for five yearsBoth failed to explain why weapons were being taken.
Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF) Parafarnellia was found in both his homes, but in the case the judge concluded that “there was no evidence of direct terrorist relations for these firearms”.
Irwin was given less than the legal minimum sentence due to his peace and charity work.
It is due to being released in 2026 until the PPS appeal is successful.

What is UVF?
Ulster Volunteer Force More than 500 people were killed during the troubles.
It was formed in 1966 and included various atrocities, including McGurk’s bar bombing, Shankil Butcher, and communal killings of the Lofinisland massacre.
In recent years, it has been linked to severe criminality, including drug dealing.
Who is Winston Irwin?
Winston Irwin first came into public prominence as a spokesperson of the Progressive Unionist Party, which was associated with UVF during the peace process.
Spotlight reported in 2013 that several sources alleged that Irwin was a UVF commander, but he said it was “anterior”.
When Irwin was arrested in June 2022, he was appointed as a community worker by Belfast Organization Intercom for 10 years.
The group suspended him when he was arrested.
After going to jail in May, Irwin chose to sentence his sentence on a separate loyalty wing in HMP Magbury.
Prior to his arrest, he was described as a “negotiator” working with the loyalty community council when he turns UVF into a peaceful organization.
