The five-time all-star insisted that the fight would be as a player vs. a player to avoid as much injury as possible. Alonso said that when there are quarrels and the entire two teams are on the ground in a mosque, when the players may get hurt.
Alonso also suggested that a player was not designed to fight, if he was charged by an opponent, he could yield and effectively opt-out.
“I think if you want to go out and charge the mound, then you have a rule, you should be able to be competent, but if the pitcher or hitter or whoever charges and if they do not want to fight, they do not take knee, and they don’t need to fight,” Alonso said.

“If someone goes out and kneels, whatever it is, then both of you go in their own way, this will change about the game.”
However, in Alonso’s proposed rule, if a player definitely loses the battle, he gets out of the game while the winner is found to remain in the game.

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred has formed a group of rules change during his tenure, but no one is so rigid as the suggested rule of Alonso.
