The driver of a pickup truck allegedly ran to the feet of a 15 -year -old girl lying on the beach in Oak Island in Northern Carolina.

The city dismissed false reports that the city’s beach safety unit caused the accident, saying that the information spread on social media and other platforms is “wrong and should not be shared on online viewing.”
“Such claims can quickly cause misinformation spread, and the first can cause a dangerous lack of confidence in the respondents,” the city said. “With any claim of such a serious nature, it is always important to remember the source of information before sharing an opinion or making an opinion.”
