More than 200 firefighters faced three separate grass fire in East London on Monday evening.
Some residents in Dagenham were asked to temporarily release their homes after eight hectares (20 acres) grasses, shrubs and trees, fences and garden furniture, which were caught near the Beam Parklands.
Wildfire Beatters were later used to deal with flames, which destroyed an area of the meadow near the Wingleti Lane of Hornchurch, while firefighters brought a third fire control in the Walthmsto Marshes.
The flames have been excluded and the cause of the fire is under investigation, as the London Fire Brigade (LFB) warned that it can be a “challenging heat” due to a hot and dry weather conditions.
About 125 firefighters faced the biggest explosion in Daganham, which came close to reaching neighboring houses.
Station Commander Matt Heword said: “The firefighters worked very hard to prevent the fire from spreading to the nearby properties.
“The fire had reached some garden fence, shed and garden furniture.”
Jets and wildfires were used to prevent the flames from reaching flames, said Mr. Heward.
LFB said that the fire brake installed by the local authority was important in preventing the spread of fire in residential areas.
The Brigade said that while in an evening three such fire was “very” for firefighters, it was not unheard of and the crews were preparing for more blasts like these.
LFB said, “All our firefighters have increased wildfire response training in preparation for another challenging heat.”
This has urged the people of London to work “responsibility” to prevent further fire.
A spokesman for LFB said, “As the weather is so dry, it only takes a few sparks that spreads the fire rapidly.”
“In London, it can be dangerous because many of our green places are close to homes and other qualities.”
In particular, people are being reminded not to use disposable barbecue in parks or fields nor use them on wooden ornaments in private sectors.
