There is no doubt whether Archer still had skills for red-ball cricket, effectively responded in the first over of the match, when he rejected Yashasvi Jaiswal with his third delivery.
On his return, he was given a new ball immediately, he was bowler Stokes who changed repeatedly throughout the match.
Despite the inclusion of another dismissal of Archer’s new ball spell, Jaiswal in the second innings of India on the fourth evening, she was a waved, but she still opened bowling with five days with the game in the balance.
Archer replied, ripping the stumps of Rishabh Pants, after India’s most dangerous remaining batsman, two balls pushed him forward to hit him on four grounds, and added a word to the Ear of the Wicketkeeper.
Archer said, “I just asked him to accuse him.”
“He came under the track and he disturbed me a little, so I was very grateful to him when the ball fell down from the slope.”
Former England captain Michael Vaughan described Archer’s performance as “a great return”.
Vaughan told the BBC Test Match Special, “He bowled with that speed and ex-factor,” Vaughan told the BBC Test match special. “England will be happy that he is back to the team.”
