Everyday the automatic top six for this year’s European Rider Cup team sits outside the qualification locations.
Already qualified Rori McLoy is also led, Tommy Fleetwood, Tierel Haton, Robert McIntire, Shane Lori and Sap Staka also joined the top six.
The North Hunts Golf Club ranks ninth in the daily ranking, which is under Rasams Hodgguard and Ludwig Eberg at 886.84 points.
He says that he is convinced to join Captain Luke Donald and the team in New York in this September.
“The open championship is definitely the front and center,” said Rose.
“But after that it is very directly about trending towards the rider cup, this is one that we have been talking for four to five years, now looking at its magnitude.
“I am definitely convinced of having an opportunity to play, but I want to show some form to Luke in the next few months, this is the most important time to show the captain you are playing well.
“Creating a team is not the goal. It is about contributing to the team, it is about my game being as fast as I can and I am playing my best golf in September.”
In 2023, there was a part of the squad that defeated the team USA as Europeans dramatically re -achieved the trophy in Rome.
This year’s competition will be in Bathpage Black Golf Course in New York, New York.
“Competition in New York is going to be very big,” said Rose.
“This team will be a big challenge for Europe and it is a team that is remembering because we are really going to face hostile environment that will challenge us.
“If we can live together as a team then we will have a great opportunity.”
