After the announcement of the Hospype ban by Yorkshire Water, several centers of the city will move at a low rate, which came into force on Friday.
The Sheif Square Water feature in the mirror pool of Sheffield and Bradford is one of the affected places.
Under the Yorkshire Water Guidelines, you cannot fill or maintain a decorative fountain or water facility with a duct, while the restrictions are in place, but “council-made park splash areas are exempted”.
Many councils confirmed that they would not fill the fountains again, but would continue to operate water facilities that recycled water facilities.
Sheffield
The Sheif Street Fountains in the Sheffield were already out of action for maintenance, and the city council confirmed that they would open again as long as the ban was removed.
A spokesman said that the fountain lost the most water and hence it would remain closed.
Barkors recycle almost all the water used in the pool fountain systems and hence they will be in operation.
And in the piece garden, the fountain and cascade have a mixed system and therefore when some water is most lost, it is reproduced.
The council said: “The Peace Garden Fountain is used by children to play during summer and is a very loving feature of the city center.
“The central fountain will remain open during the school holiday and over the weekend.
“The cascade will normally be turned on as they resume all water in the system.”
Bradford
On Wednesday, the Bradford Council announced a change in operation of the mirror pool during the hospipe ban.
A spokesperson placed the holding tank in 500,000 liters of water in the plant room of the mirror pool.
“Last time we had a hospipe ban, we managed to work using this recycled water in the holding tank,” he said.
“Unfortunately, the hospipe ban is too early in summer and because we want to keep our fountains on as long as possible, we are going to change our operational hours to allow people to travel and play still while saving water.”
Outside the Outside of One City Park, the arking jets will not run between 11:00 and 19:30 BST, nor will any of the three pools be filled.
Bradford explosion in the center of the mirror pool and fountains around the edge will run at low height and pressure.
From 19.30 to 03.00 BST, a night operation will continue with only vertical jets on low settings.
The spokesperson said: “Currently two storage tanks have about 205,000 liters of rainwater water which is sufficient for 10 to 12 weeks of maintenance.”
Leeds
Leeds have very few city center fountains after deciding to close water facilities at Millennium Square, City Square and Eastgate Round About in 2013.
A spokesperson said: “The guidance we follow is that we cannot fill or maintain fountains and decorative features with a toughpipe while the restrictions are in place.”
But he said that there were no need to close some of the remaining fountains, there was no need to close them.
New York
The City of York Council said it only manages a fountain in the city, which will continue to operate.
The water facility on the exhibition category reinforces the same water and re -installs the same water and does not separate the water supply when drought for maintenance purposes.
