Heartford Bakery, Inc. Voluntarily recalls hundreds of rotis of its “Lewis Bake Shop Artison Styles Styles 1/2 Loof” because the product can have undeclared hazelnuts, The company said In an announcement shared by the Food and Drug Administration.
“People with severe sensitivity to a walnut allergy or hazelnuts at risk of serious or deadly allergic reactions if they consume these products,” the announcement said, which was shared by the FDA on Thursday.
There is no major report of injury or disease after the announcement, but the company is aware of a customer who has experienced digestive discomfort after consumption. The company said that complaints were also received from consumers who had seen nuts before consuming the product.
The product says that it may “have tree nuts” but does not specify that it includes “hazelnuts”. The company said that this memory affects 883 rotis in six production.

The back -called products were distributed by retailers, including Cravgers and Walmart in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentaki, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessi and Visconsin.
The product comes in a flexible plastic bag marked with the following information, the announcement said:
- Lot Code T10 174010206, T10 174010306, T10 174010406, T10 1740206, T10 174020306, T10 174020406 found on the front panel of packaging.
- Net Weight 12oz (340G), UPC 24126018152 found at the bottom of the packaging.
- The expiry date of 07/13/2025 was found on the front panel of packaging.
The company determined that no other lot code was affected. All products in the affected lot code are being removed from the shelves. Consumers who may have purchased “Lewis Bake Shop Artison Styles 1/2 Loof” should return to the purchase point for full refunds, the company said.
