The Standards Commissioner of Parliament has launched an investigation at the pre-reform MP Rupert Lowe.
The BBC understands that it has allegedly failed to register hundreds of thousands of pounds raised to fund its independent “rape gang inquiry”.
More than £ 600,000 has been donated to a crowdfunder initiated by Lov in March to support the national probe of gang -based sexual abuse in the UK. So far, Lov has not declared any money on the register of his MPs.
Lowe started project earlier PM announced government -backed national inquiry Last month in grooming gangs. He has said that his investigation will continue regardless of cares. Lowe has been approached for comment.
For the standards, the Parliamentary Commissioner has confirmed that they are investigating whether Love has violated the parliamentary rules for announcing the donation within 28 days – as determined in the MPs’ code of conduct.
Under parliamentary rules, MPs should announce any donations from a source of more than £ 1,500 – or more than £ 300 in earning or gift.
Lov’s Crowdfunder includes a statement that the names of the donors above the parliamentary boundary will be published in the Commons Register.
Most of £ 600,000 came to small amounts – but more than a dozen donations suggest that it was more than £ 1,500, none of which have appeared in the register of financial interests of Lowe.
Lowe was selected in 2024 as an improvement for the Great YK MP for UK, but was suspended by the party in March amid dangers of party president Zia Yusuf.
In May, the Crown Prosecution Service decided not to accuse the dangers that were accused of the dangers they made. Lowe claimed In a BBC Newsnight Interview He was a victim of “attempt to kill political murder”.
After a long time after his suspension, Love established his crowdfunder – accusing the ministers of failed victims and said: “Our imperfect political class is very cowardly which has actually happened.”
Lowe’s rape gang inquiry has established a board, which includes conservative MP Esther McWay.
According to interrogation, the social media page has sent hundreds of and hundreds of FOI requests to every local council, police force, NHS Trust and more to highlight the important information related to rape gangs.
Lov has promised to stream the online hearing and insisted that his personal investigation will continue for accountability.
