England’s midfielder Jordan Henderson is set to sign for Brentford after exiting Ajax earlier this week.
The 35 -year -old 35 -year -old will include 35 -year -old bees on a two -year deal after the Dutch Club agreed to end its contract a year earlier.
Henderson was quite interested in top clubs in England and Europe, but Brentford has won the race to sign a former Liverpool skipper.
Playing in the Premier League will provide Henderson with the platform to stay in the England squad of Thomas Tuchel before the next summer World Cup.
The 84-Cap England Midfielder will help plug the difference emptied by former bees captain Christian Norgard, who has left for arsenal.
The formalities of the deal are expected to be confirmed in the coming days.
After leaving Liverpool in 2023, Brentford’s move will return Henderson to the Premier League.
Enfield Henderson won the Premier League during its 12 years – Club’s first league title in 30 years – Champions League, FA Cup, Two League Cup, Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Community Shield.
Henderson left Reds to join Al-Etifac, but in January 2024, he lasted for less than six months in the Saudi Pro League before joining Ajax.
He performed over 50 for Ajax, but on the last day of the previous season, PSV Eindhoven exited the club that exits the league title with the champion.
