Jofra Archer will play his first Test in more than four years after being nominated in the England team to face India at Lord’s on Thursday.
The 30-year-old inclusion is the only change for the England team for the important third test, with chain levels at 1–1.
Despite the tired of the huge second-testing defeat in Edgbaston, both Chris Woakes and Bridan Cars, they are maintained with enthusiasm for both archers.
The same day the location of Archer at England XI was confirmed, fellow Pace Bowler Mark Wood at Lord’s as he continues to return from knee injury.
It was thought that Wood would remember the entire five -match series against India, but the Durham man is targeting the final test at the Oval. It increases the chances of Archer and Wood in the same XI, which has already happened once in Test cricket.
Archer has taken 42 wickets in 13 previous tests, but in 2021, against India, from its last, back from its last and elbow injuries. England have played 53 Tests for Archer for the last time. This will be 1,595 days between the cap.
At that time, it seemed very suspicious that Archer would ever return to Test cricket and there were points when his entire career was in doubt.
Following his last major shock in 2023, Archer has followed a careful plan set by England, who has believed in his supreme talent with central contracts during his time away from Test cricket.
