“We have lost a prestigious member of the White Sox family today,” Jerry Rindorf said in a statement, White Sox President.
“None of us will ever forget the ninth innings of Game 4 in Houston, which Bobby had done for the 2005 world series Champion and during his time in Chicago for the entire Sox organization. He and his family knew that cancer would be his most difficult battle, and he would miss a special place in all our hearts.”

Genx earned back-to-back-star dialect in 2006 and 2007, while finishing his career with 3.53 ERA. The other team for which he played before the 2011 season was Boston Red Sox.
