The U Darwish of San Diego Padress right hand will be activated from the injured list and will start its season on Monday night against Arizona Diamondback. The Japanese star has been sidelined since spring training by inflammation of the right elbow.
“It actually comes down from just a physical perspective,” Manager Mike Shield said that Padress said before finishing a series against Texas on Sunday night. “We always have an open day on the schedule to start a U Drawish.”
On Monday night, a start will allow another start to start before the all-star break.
On August 16, it turned 39, Darwish threw a bulk session on Saturday, thrown on Saturday after throwing two simulated games against a minor legers in the last two weeks.
Darwish missed a significant time in 2024 with a elbow injury and a personal issue. He started five in September and finished regular season with a record of 7-3 and 3.31 ERA.
He made two debut against Los Angeles Dojers in the National League Division Series, winning two in Jeet Game 2 and suffering in Game 5. Padress failed to score against the final world champion in the final 24 innings when the Padress took a 2–1 lead in the series.
Padress rotation is still suffering from many injuries, even the Darwish returns. Joe Musgroves did Tommy John surgery before the season begins, and would not return until 2026. Michael King, who posted 2.59 ERA through 10 beginnings, is out with the right shoulder injury until August or September. And when the dylan struggle is not injured, it is increasing his rotation issues with the Padres in his second year.
The Padress is 48–41, the seven games of the dujers in NL West, and effectively tied to the third wild card of the league with veterans.
