A stretch toy figure of a Marvel character, called “one of the most rare stretch toys in existence”, goes under the hammer in the auction.
The Excelibur auction at Hertfordshire stated that the toy was one of the only 30 known examples of the 1979 original Hulk Stretch figure that still exists.
It was manufactured by Toy-Mekar Dennis Fisher and comes directly from its original owner.
Jonathan Torod, to the Kings Langli -based auctioneer, said: “We are thrilled to be able to offer an opportunity to achieve one of the most rare stretch toys in existence.”
The Hulk Figure was manufactured in the thorp arch in West Yorkshire, and sold only in limited amounts in the UK.
This anger, green-chasi figure was with a child whose mother knew someone who worked for Dennis Fisher, and had already bought one from the production line.
Excelibur said the figure came up with its original instructions and was never introduced for sale since being purchased in 1979.
It comes with its original packaging that tolerates a handwritten “number one” on the flap of the box.
Cardboard packaging has some tears, but described in the event of “mint”, which has been excluded from light over the years.
Mr. Torod said: “Never was introduced in the market before and to be in such a good position and with excellent proven, presents it to the collectors.
“Therefore we guess worldwide interest.”
The auction house stated that the vibrant yellow packaging has not faded and the original chalk on the surface of the figure means that it was never shaken, or played together, after post-production, the auction house said.
The toy is estimated to go to the auction on July 26 for £ 3,000- £ 5,000.
