The two races between George Russell and Verustapen of Mercedes were notable opposite with the result of a very similar event in Canada.
In Montreal, Steovers took no action, Red Bull staged a protest, but was rejected by hand.
Piastry said: “Canada is going back, I think they had to be more and more distance than today. So, yes, I am a little confused to say at least.”
Within McLaren, there was also a feeling that Vastapane may have ‘gaamed’ the system how much it was affected.
“I don’t think he had to save me,” Piastry said. “I think he was successful for the first time.”
The team’s principal Andrea Stella said: “We also have to see if other contestants have created the situation, what is this.
“Because we know that as part of the race car, some contestants definitely have the ability to show others that they are not causing serious violations when they are not.”
Verustapane said: “The thing is that it happened to me for some time, such a landscape. I just feel strange that suddenly the Oscar is now the first to receive 10 seconds ago.”
Was this because there was no difference on what Russell did in Canada?
“Okay, for Steward, yes,” Vastapane said.
The final result was that Noris has now shifted himself to four wins for the season, which is a small piastry.
“I felt as if I really raced a strong race,” Piastry said. “After all, when you do not get the result you think you deserve, it hurts, especially when it is not under your control.
“I will use frustration to ensure that I win some more race later.”
The two have two weekends to reset and refresh, before the second half of the season began in Belgian Grand Prix.
