The Colombian police arrested the alleged mastermind of expectation attempt to the presidency during a rally last month.
A conservative senator, Miguel Uribe, was shot twice in the capital Bogota as he was campaigning for his party nomination in the 2026 presidential election.
Police arrested a suspected criminal, élder Jose Artga Hernandez, who says that he persuaded a 15 -year -old child to carry out the attack. Four other people were already arrested, including the allegations of shooting Uribe to the teenager.
Uribe remains in critical condition. The purpose of his life attempt on 7 June is not clear.
Colombian police chief Carlos Fernando Triana said on Friday that Artega had a long criminal history and wanted to “effort to effort” and “use minors for the commission of crimes” on the attack on Uribe.
Police say he coordinated the attack, hired the gunman and provided him with a weapon.
The authorities had earlier accused Arteaga, who uses the nickname chip and costene, near Bogota Park where Uribe was shot.
