In the last summer, the Manchester Airport was accused of attacking the police by a person accused of attacking the police and a Starbucks found “on the face of the customer”, who was heard by a jury, head-out.
On July 23, 2024, while assaulting three police officers in Terminal 2, brother Mohammad Fahir Amaz, 20 and 26 -year -old Muhammad Amad has been accused.
The Liverpool Crown Court heard that the police was responding to an incident in the Starbucks at the airport in which Mr. Amaz alleged that a person headed a man and punched him.
Mr. Amaz and Mr. Amad denies the allegations in Greater Manchester and claim self -defense.
Opening the prosecution case on Friday, Paul Greeny KC said that police officers saw the brothers in the terminal car park payment area.
Mr. Greeni told the court that two armed officers – PC Zachari Marsden and PC Eli Cook – and his unarmed colleague PC Lidi Ward approached the defendants.
He said: “The officials tried to take Mohammad Fahir Amaz away from a payment machine to arrest him, but he protested, and his brother Muhammad Amad intervened.”
Mr. Greeni said that both suspects attacked PC Marsden.
“In moments, first defendant [Mr Amaaz] Apart from this, PC Cook and then PC ward also attacked her nose, “Mr. Greeni told the members of the jury.
“The defendants used high level of violence.”
Mr. Amaz has alleged that PC Marsden and PC ward were attacked, causing him to suffer real physical damage.
He is also accused of assaulting the first attack of Abdulcarem Ismail in PC Cook and Starbucks.
His elder brother Mr. Amad is accused of attacking PC Marsden, causing real physical damage.
Mr. Greeni said that the defendants had traveled to the airport with their young nephew to gather their mother, which was due to flying from Qatar.
He said that it was clear that “something happened” that incorporates Abdulcarem Ismail – which was on the same flight as the mother of brothers – which was “made” [her] Sad “.
He told Mr. Ismail, who was in Starbucks with his family, his sons because they were passing through the terminal.
“After 8.20 pm, Defendants entered Starbucks and faced Abdulcarem Ismail,” said Mr. Greeny.
“During that confrontation, Mohammad Fahir Amaz gave a headbut on Abdulkerem Ismail’s face and punched him, then in front of many children, tried to give it to all others.
“The prosecution is that it was clearly illegal conduct.”
‘Quite aggressive’
Starbuck’s manager Cameron Cartellage told the court that he was doing some paperwork in his office when he heard “raised voices” and went to the door what was going on.
As his colleague prepared Mr. Ismail’s order at the counter, Mr. Cartage said he saw another person, wearing a blue tracksuit and later identified as Mr. Amaz, “shouting at him,”.
Shri Cartage said that shout was in a foreign language that he could not understand.
The witness said: “He was very close to him like his face while arguing.
“Blue tracksuit man looked quite aggressive, obviously angry about something, I don’t know what. Blue Tracksuit Man was shouting aggressively.
“His body language, the voice of his voice, was quite aggressive.”
Mr. Greeni asked: “What about Mr. Ismail, man with his back against the counter?”
The witness replied: “He had a raised voice, but I would say that he was more defensive than aggressive.
“There was argument, I don’t know what was being said, then the blue tracksuit man we see the man in black.
“He found him on his face. It did not seem that it hurt Mr. Ismail a lot, but it was quite powerful that he shared him back to the counter.”
Shri Cartage said that Mr. Amaz then threw two punches which he felt that Mr. Ismail had landed on his shoulder.
Working at the airport, Mr. Cartage said that they saw people “arguing” but, after seeing the headbut, called the police.
Imran Khan Casey, defending Amaz, suggested to Shri Cartage that the talks were in English.
Mr. Cartage replied: “It did not seem as if it was in English.”
Asked if he finds any aggression from Mr. Ismail, Mr. Cartage said: “No, he was more defensive. He was just standing there, perhaps more worried about his children behind him.”
‘Not a complex case’
Starbucks Barista Justin Paklen also told the court that he did not believe that the conversation between the two people was in English.
Mr. Khan said that Mr. Ismail was “aggressive” and he moved forward towards Shri Amaz.
Ms. Paklen said: “Even though he moved forward, she did not put her hand on her. This was the second way – she (Amaz) headed her.”
Mr. Greeni told the gamblers that the Crown case was that it was “a complex case” because CCTVs were occupied.
“So you will not only have to depend on the memories of the witnesses. You will also be able to see with your eyes what happened,” he said.
He suggested that the defendants stated that “in all stages they were working in legitimate self -defense or protecting another”.
He said, “Our prediction is that you will easily conclude that the defendants were not working in legitimate self -defense and their conduct was illegal,” he said.
The test is scheduled to resume on Monday.
