British number one Emma Redukanu made 2023 champion market Vondrasova aside to reach the third round of Wimbledon.
The 22-year-old produced an excellent performance marked by the authority and intensity on the Center Court to win 6-3 6-3 in 82 minutes.
It was a level that would require the former US Open Champion to repeat – if it is not improved – when she meets World Number One and Aryana Sabalenka and is equal to her best run in the championship.
After the first win for Son Kartal and Cameron Nori, Redukanu was the third British player through the third round on Wednesday.
