The 24 -year -old law student, who was gang -raped by three people at South Calcutta Law College in Kolkata, attacked a panic during the attack and urged the three accused to take him to the hospital. However, instead of doing so, one of the accused found an inhaler for him, just because they can continue the attack, Public Prosecutor Sorin Ghosal told a court in the city on Tuesday.
Sharing the distracted details of the gang-Bal, Ghosal told the court, “When the victim had a panic attack and was unable to breathe, the accused persons gave him an inhaler instead of taking him to the hospital so that he would feel better and they could torture him again.”

The survivor also said in his complaint about the panic attack, how the main accused, Monojo Mishra, told the other two accused – Zab Ahmed and Pramit Mukherjee – to get an inhaler for him.
“I had an nervous attack and shortness of breath. Mishra asked Ahmed and Mukherjee to come inside the room. I asked them for help. I asked them to take them to the hospital. But they were not helping me. Then Mishra asked him to bring an inhaler for me,” he said.

Ahmed was the one who bought an inhaler from a nearby pharmacy, the police said. However, even the survivors felt a little better with the help of the inhaler, it was not too long before being tortured by the accused.
Police located the pharmacy, from where the inhaler was brought, confirmed the statement of the survivor and also confiscated the receipt. 350 payment was made for the same through UPI.
On 25 June, the three people accused of raping a 24 -year -old law student have been sent to police custody till 8 July.
The main accused, Monojit Mishra, worked as a temporary staff member in the college and is an alumnus, while the other two accused – Zab Ahmed and Pramit Mukherjee – were currently studying there. Pinaki Bandyopadhyay, a college security guard, was also arrested for turning an eye for a crime.
According to the college’s Vice Principal Naina Chatterjee, Mishra’s services have been abolished from the college, Ahmed and Mukherjee have also been warned.
Many pieces of evidence, including digital footprints, medical testing and crime scenes, have all accepted the complaint of the survivor.
