Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Saturday that drones became important for the strategy of modern war.
PTI said that Singh further emphasized that the drone should also be included in India’s war policy.
Singh said, “Generally, when we hear the words ‘aircraft’, images of Tejas, Rafael and fighter jets come to mind. It is natural, because these are all fighter aircraft,” Singh said. However, he said that in today’s changing times, the drone emerged as a “important force” in the field.
The Defense Minister, citing the example of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, said that drones play a decisive role in it, both sides have deployed him extensively. PTI quoted the Defense Minister as saying, “If you closely inspect the Russia -Ukraine conflict, you will see that the drone has been used extensively – first, now, now and continuously,” PTI quoted the Defense Minister.
He said that this brings the importance of understanding the importance of drones, and it was necessary to include them in India’s war policy.
Singh, who was in Noida to inaugurate the private aero engine test facility, said that drones were currently being used in areas where large equipment could not reach.
After inaugurating Raphe Mphibr Pvt Ltd’s defense equipment and engine-testing facility, he said it was “a strong reflection of Aatmanirbhar Bharat”.
Rajnath Singh says that countries that have invested in drone technology have a significant increase.
Singh also said in the history of the drone, remembering how he was previously used for monitoring and reconnaissance.
He said that later, some countries started developing drones designed for war, several countries deployed them for their border conflicts.
Singh said that countries that had invested in drone technology managed to achieve a significant lead in the field of war, while others were left behind.
He said that India, which had to import drones earlier, now “started designing, development and building them domestically”.
“My six to six -and -a -half -year experience (as Minister of Defense), I can say that the reality of today’s defense sector rests on aircraft technology and drone,” he said. Singh further praised the efforts of the entrepreneurs who were contributing to the progress of drone technology in the country.
