New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Japanese counterpart Shigru Ishiba traveled in a bullet train during their two -day visit to Japan during a visit from Tokyo to Sendai on Saturday.In a social media post on X, Ishiba said, “With Prime Minister Modi with Sendai. I am going with him from inside the car.”
After arriving at Sendai, PM Modi also met Indian loco pilots passing through training in Japanese Railways.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi met governors from 16 Japanese provinces in Tokyo and called for strengthening the state-prefection cooperation under the Indo-Japanese special strategic and global partnership, the Ministry of External Affairs (Mea) said in a statement.“In Tokyo this morning, interacted with governors from 16 provinces of Japan. State-procure cooperation is an important pillar of India-Japan friendship. That is why a separate initiative on it was launched yesterday during the 15th annual India-Japan Summit Sammelan,” the Prime Minister said in a post on X.Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday left Delhi to attend the 30th India-Japan annual summit for a two-day official visit to Japan for a two-day official visit.After his Japan leg, Prime Minister Tianjin will be the head of China for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit at Tianjin.“From Japan, I will visit China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit at Tianjin on the invitation of President Xi Jinping. India is an active and creative member of SCO. During our presidential post, we have introduced new ideas and started cooperation in the field of innovation, health and cultural exchange,” PM Modi said in his departmental details.During his visit to China, PM Modi will hold two important bilateral meetings, one with Chinese President Xi Jinping and one with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
