A Florida person who stabbed a married couple during a robbery is to be executed next month, killing the state record number to death in a year.
64 -year -old Victor Tony Jones is to be killed on September 30 in Florida State Jail near Starc near Starc under a death warrant signed by Republican village Ron Desantis on Friday, which will mark the 13th execution of the state set for this year.
The 11th execution of the state was performed on Thursday when 59 -year -old Curtis Windom died of deadly injection, and 63 -year -old David Pitman is prescribed for the execution sept 17.
The Sunshine State has carried out more people than any other state this year, tied to each with each with Texas and South Carolina. Before this year, Florida’s previous record for execution in a year after the restoration of the death penalty in 1976 was eight eight eight in 2014.

In the US, 30 people have been killed in 2025 so far, crossing 25 execution done last year. The last time there was more execution for the whole country in a year, 2014 was when 35 people were killed.
Jones was convicted in two cases of first-digry murder in 1993 and sentenced to death. He was also found guilty in two cases of armed robbery.
He was a new employee in the Miami-dad business owned by Matida and Jacob Nestry in December 1990 when he stabbed the woman in the neck and chest.

According to investigators, before dying of his wounds, Mr. Nester was able to go to an office, draw a .22-caliber pistol from a halster and set fire five times.
Jones was found to be injured in his pocket along with Nester’s money and personal belongings.

Florida Supreme Court will hear an appeal as Jones’ lawyers want to block their execution. His legal team is also expected to file an appeal with the US Supreme Court.
