One Green Rovers has appointed former Wales midfielder Robbie Savez as its new manager Steve Kotil was dismissed Last week.
Savez, who used to play for other people for Lester, Derby, Blackburn and Birmingham during his career, is managing non-league side macclesfield FC since 2024.
The departure of Kotil from the National League Club was confirmed on Thursday, when the previous season missed promotion through play-off.
Savez said in a club’s statement, “I think I have the opportunity to develop a team to create an attacker brand of football – an aggressive form of football and to bring back the forest green in EFL,” Savez said in a club’s statement.
“I need a sharp, exciting style but the most important thing is to win the game.”
