MSPS Ross Greer and Gillian McKay have been chosen as the new co-leader of Scottish Greens.
The pair replaces Patrick Harvi, who did not seek election again, and Lorna Slater, who was defeated in the leadership competition.
In the role of a hearty, 17 years later, Harvi was the longest serving leader of Holiroad, while Slater organized a post with him since 2019.
Greer and McKay also saw a challenge from Green Members Dominic Ashmol, which failed for the party in the 2024 general election.
The competition was set in a ballot of 950 Scottish Green members.
McKay won 34% of the votes in the first round. The Gierce again defeated Slater from 317 to 304 in the second round.
The age of 31 is the youngest party leader in Greer Holiroad.
West Scotland MSP also records the youngest MSP after being selected at the age of 21 in 2016.
The 34 -year -old McKay is an MSP for Central Scotland since 2021.
He successfully completed the bill making a buffer zone at an abortion clinic.
McKay said that the election results marked the “generational change” under the leadership of the party.
He told at a news conference in Edinburgh: “Together, Ross and I will lead with courage and listen with intentions, with members in the heart of our movement.”
