An MSP has neutralized its Holiroad pass, amid the report they placed a camera in the Scottish Parliament toilet.
Colin Smith was suspended by Labor after allegations of having indecent images of children earlier this month. He is due to the subsequent appearance in the Damfrees Sheriff Court at the later date.

Next week, before returning from holiday, the Chief Executive of Parliament, David McGil, has informed the members that Smith has been deactivated “in view of the ongoing criminal investigation. Smith earlier said that he was cooperating with interrogation.
A spokesperson of the Scottish Parliament said: “In view of the ongoing criminal investigation, the SPCB (Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body) decided this evening to neutralize Colin Smith’s parliamentary pass.
“We have informed all building users in Holiroad.”
In an email sent to Holiroad staff, David McGil, CEO of the Scottish Parliament said: “We recognize the nature of criminal allegations and can be disturbed to the ongoing investigation colleagues and can cause crisis.
“So we want to remind all those who work in Holiroad or in the constituency of confidential support services that are available.”
Smith has played several frontbench roles, recently in April 2023, and first served as General Secretary of Scottish Labor.
A spokesperson of the Scottish Labor Party said: “Rapid action was taken after being aware of these serious allegations. Colin Smith MSP is an independent MSP.
“We cannot comment further from these depth related developments, while legal proceedings continue.”
In a statement after her arrest, Smith said: “These incidents have come as a shock and this is a deep stressful time.”
