Both senators are involved in separate controversies.
Moreno faces a possible impeachment proceedings for alleged corruption during his tenure as the Governor of the Campche State from 2015 to 2019.
Norona’s reports have been criticized that he owns an expensive house at a time when Mexican President Claudia Shinbam has urged public authorities to live politely.
