The Trump administration on Wednesday announced a proposed rule that a proposed rule was announced to limit the time limit for international students to remain in the US for four years.

“For a very long time, previous administration has allowed foreign students and other visa holders to live in the US almost indefinitely, completing security risks, costing taxpayers, untold dollar costs and damage to US citizens,” the DHS spokesperson said in a statement.
The spokesperson said, “This new proposed rule will end the misconduct once and once and some visa holders are allowed to live in the US, making foreign students and their history properly oversee to reduce the burden on the federal government,” the spokesperson continued.
Since 1978, foreign students, or F visa holders have been allowed to live in the US for their “period of status”, which means that they were given the nominated time as a full -time student. The proposed rules will allow foreign students and visitors to stay in the country until the period of the program, in which they are participating, although the federal government will not allow it for more than four years, which is usually less time to pursue any additional education beyond a bachelor’s degree.

In addition to the students, the proposed rules will determine the initial entry period for foreign journalists up to 240 days, although they can seek an expansion of up to 240 days, but now no more than the length of their assignment.
The press release stated that DHS will require regular evaluation by DHS for foreigners to live in the US for a long time, allowing the agency to “proper inspection” and reduce the number of people in the country on visas.
