The incident was discovered when the victim’s mother met him and saw him burning.
Citing police officers, a student of a hostel in Konseema district of Konseema district of Andhra Pradesh maintained severe burning injuries, as two of his classmates burnt her with an iron box, told PTI.
According to police, the incident took place on August 18 at a school in Mompudi. Both students allegedly burnt the victim’s stomach and hands with iron boxes in their hostel room.
Police said a film was screening for hostel children on August 16, after which two students allegedly removed a monitoring camera and placed it in the victim’s school bag.
After seeing the missing camera, the charge in the hostel called three students, where the victim named his two classmates, according to PTI.
After the incident, both students attacked him on August 18 and according to police, hostel employees ignored jealousy.
The incident came to light after the victim’s mother, while on meeting him, he saw burning.
The woman took her son to a hospital in resol, where she is currently undergoing treatment. PTI said, “My husband died three months ago, I cannot lose my son.”
‘The incident remains hidden for about a week’
ANI said that District Educational Officer Vasudev Rao said that the school management kept the incident in wrapped for about a week.
Rao said that an investigation has been initiated against the management and his office will soon submit a detailed report to the District Collector.
He said, “The management kept the incident in wrapped for about a week, which is highly objectionable. An investigation has been initiated, and we will soon submit a detailed report to the District Collector,” he said according to a news agency.
