St. Louis Cardinals star Wilson Contraras received a six-game ban a day after joining a stressful exchange during a game against Pittsburgh Pirates.
MLB also fined the three-time all-star. The amount of fine was not disclosed. Contrarasas has informed the League that he intends to appeal to the suspension. The decision to appeal allowed to play in the game against the pirates on Tuesday night.
During Monday’s competition, Contraras threw a bat, which accidentally hit the cardinals with coach Brent Brown.

Cardinal’s infielder threw the bubble gum on the ground when he was thrown out.
Manager Oliver Marmol was also thrown from the game during an animated argument with umpires after the third strike in the seventh innings.

Contrarasas expressed confusion over the decision to remove her from the game. He said he argued the balls and attacks with the plate umpire Derek Thomas, but did not address a specific pitch and said nothing derogatory.

“Obviously, he heard something (he thought) I said. I did not say that,” Conteres said.
Crew head Jordan Baker told a pool reporter that Thomas was excluded to call Thomas “vulgar stuff”. Baker also said that Contraras contacted the plate umpire.

After Monday’s victory, Marmol agreed with her player.

Contrarasas joined a double game in their first plate appearance on Tuesday, and collided with a pitch during their second bat.
