The US Coast Guard on Monday removed more than 76,000 pounds of illegal drugs in Florida, marking the biggest drug seizure in the same operation in his history.
Cutter Hamilton removed drugs in Port Everglads, Florida as part of Operation Pacific wiper. The agency said that drugs, which had 61,740 pounds cocaine and 14,400 pounds, were priced at $ 473 million.
With the deadly dose of cocaine being 1.2 grams, the amount closed by Hamilton’s crew was enough to potentially kill 23 million people, the Coast Guard said.

“To keep it in perspective, a potential 23 million deadly doses of cocaine seized by the US Coast Guard and our fellow Florida state are enough to overdose the entire population of the Florida state, which underlines the immense threat arising out of transnational drug smuggling for our nation,” said Rear Edam Chami.
Operation Pacific wiper is part of the effort of the Trump administration to disrupt drug cartel activity in Latin America and prevent drugs and human trafficking before reaching the US coasts.
As part of the operation, the Coast Guard has operated 19 contradictions in international water from the East Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea.
The US Navy, US Customs and Border Protection’s air and maritime operations, and a ship from the Royal Netherlands Navy also participated in the patrol.

Captain John McWit, Commanding Officer of Hamilton, said, “This outstanding group of professionals scored unique results in the fight against international criminal drug organizations of our country.” “The crew expressed 11 Go-Fast ships, detained 34 suspected drug smugglers, and seized a record 47,000 pounds cocaine. The commitment and sacrifice of our deployed service members and their families, which have been taken out together for the safety of our nation, are to be celebrated.”
Some of Hamilton’s adventures include a difference of 26 June of two ships from the Galapagos Island, Ecuador, in which they seized more than 8,800 pounds. On July 23, the crew seized more than 9,160 pounds from a ship near the island of Sosro, Mexico.
