Ben Turner of Great Britain produced a stunning sprint finish at Wulta A. Aspana to claim his first Grand Tour Stage Win.
Turner won in the fourth phase of the race – a 206.7 km medium mountain root to Susa to Viren – Belgium pair Jasper Philipson and Edward Plankert, who finished second and third.
A late call was made to the 26-year-old Vulta, when the fellow of the Ineos team Lucas Hamilton took out through the disease-a long, operated to win when the growing finished.
Turner said, “This is a crazy feeling. I really believed in myself today and I believed what I had to do.”
David Goudu of France, who won in the third phase, led the total standing to end enough places in front of Denmark’s Jonas Winggard, to take the Red Jersey to the count-back.
