New Delhi: A video of a family being allegedly harassed and threatened by auto drivers in Navi Mumbai has gone viral on social media, which expresses displeasure over the increasing cases of language-based threats in Maharashtra.The clip shared by Zoly Reel Life reflects a neatisen, which recalls the exam. According to the post, the incident occurred on a stretch from Coparkaheren to Ghansoli. The family claimed that his car was surrounded by an auto-rickshaw, which damaged his number plate. Soon after, three to four more rickshaws blocked their vehicle.Inside his six -month -old child, the family alleged that he was harassed and forced to pay. According to the post, the attackers also targeted him for being a non-Marathi speaker.A man started shouting, ‘Say Marathi, this is Maharashtra!’ While another auto driver said, ‘They are from Delhi, take double money from them! Neetzhen wrote, “Marathi was harassed by local people for not speaking. Forced us to pay. Maharashtra is not safe for outsiders.”The clip has triggered comprehensive reactions online. One user wrote, “Very disappointed. Hope you guys are safe and be careful.” Another comment, “Great work to make it public. Be safe!”This incident occurs amid increasing concerns in similar cases. Last month, seven unknown persons, allegedly joined the Maharashtra Navneman Sena (MNS), were booked in Meera Road to assault the owner of a sweet shop for not speaking Marathi.
